Canadian Academic Entrepreneur Challenge

On September 22, 2021, DSA Canada and its members launched the inaugural Canadian Academic Entrepreneur Challenge, a Canadian post-secondary student competition.

The Entrepreneur Challenge takes place each year in September and engages teams of post-secondary students, by having them imagine a distinctive product and then asking them to outline an entrepreneurial sales model to create market success.

It is a contest that celebrates innovative thinking, with the goals of promoting entrepreneurship amongst young Canadians, providing an introduction to the direct-to-consumer and direct selling channels, and building relationships between academia and industry.

Scholarship Program

Every year, our Direct Selling Education Foundation of Canada (DSEF) Scholarship Program awards a total of $16,000 to eligible Canadian post-secondary students with ties to the direct selling industry to help them advance their post-secondary education.

The DSEF Scholarship Program is funded by the Direct Sellers Association of Canada and administered by the Direct Selling Education Foundation of Canada (DSEF).

Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers (CACEE)

The DSEF is an ongoing participant and sponsor of CACEE, Canada’s national network connecting career educators and employers. Through the sharing of collective knowledge and experience, CACEE members are empowered to succeed in meeting career development objectives.

The DSEF utilizes this connection to build an understanding and appreciation of the opportunity provided by direct selling amongst career educators and, subsequently, with post-secondary students.

Silent Auction

Each year during the DSA Canada Conference, DSEF board members organize a silent auction. All proceeds from the auction are used to fund the academic scholarship program and other DSEF initiatives.
