Membership of the Direct Selling Association of Canada provides a level of trust and integrity for member companies, shows their commitment to quality business practices and consumer protection, and creates value for their business operations.
We offer three membership categories: Active, Subscriber and Supplier. The application procedure for membership involves a process of due diligence.
Intended for companies that use direct selling to distribute consumer products and services in Canada.
Active members voluntarily accept responsibility for the acts of employees and/or independent sales consultants (ISC) falling within the scope of the DSA’s Codes of Ethics and Business Practices. Active members are voting members of the Association.
As part of the Active Membership application process, we will evaluate each company’s business practices to ensure compliance with DSA Codes and Canadian law.
Intended for companies considering launching a direct selling business in Canada.
Available to companies who are currently operating internationally and studying the Canadian market for entry at a future date; currently operating Canadian-based companies considering diversifying into direct selling at a future date; or not-yet-operating companies planning to begin direct selling operations.
Intended for companies that provide the direct selling industry with products and/or services.
Available to companies not eligible as Active Members, but who are in good standing and engaged in supplying a product or service to the direct selling industry, or as approved by our Board. Suppliers are not voting members of the Association.
DSA Canada membership is company-wide and extends to all employees, allowing them access to events, advice, newsletters, committee participation and the members-only website
