On September 17, DSA Canada brought the energy of Direct Sellers Day directly to living rooms, offices, and communities across the country through an inspiring hour-long YouTube livestream that celebrated the spirit of entrepreneurship, independence, and connection.

The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) proudly announced today the awarding of $16,000 in scholarships to four standout Canadian university students. The annual scholarship program is designed to support the educational aspirations of students who are connected to the direct selling industry – this year’s winners are pursuing degrees across various fields including media, communications and health sciences.

Independent sales professionals looking for foundational knowledge in ethical selling now have a new resource to help them excel in a competitive market.

The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) has partnered with Brock University Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) to launch Fundamental Sales Skills for Direct Sellers, an educational program designed specifically for individuals who sell products and services directly to consumers.

As Canadians prepare to head to the polls this year, the Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada) has released a comprehensive list of policy recommendations aimed at empowering and protecting the more than 1.1 million Canadians involved in direct selling. The Direct Selling Education Foundation (DSEF) Scholarship Program is back for 2025, offering Canadian post-secondary students a chance to receive one of four $4,000 scholarships! This initiative is part of DSEF's commitment to empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs, leaders, and direct selling professionals.

2024 was an impactful year for DSA Canada and our reputation. Maybe not as impactful as Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour, which recently finished in Vancouver, but we still have lots to be proud of. 

We didn’t play to as many people as Taylor, but many important people did take notice of what we had to say. Let’s celebrate all the good times, and twists and turns of 2024, and look forward to an amazing 2025. 

DSA Canada President Peter Maddox represented the interests of Canada’s direct selling industry during a hearing before the Canadian Standing Committee on Health (HESA). During the two-hour session, Mr. Maddox addressed Members of Parliament from across party lines, highlighting the impacts of the Natural Health Products (NHPs) regulatory framework on direct selling investment, innovation, and consumer choice.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA Canada), a milestone that celebrates the organization's enduring commitment to supporting and uplifting the direct selling industry across the nation. 

DSA Canada is excited to welcome a new Board Chair, introduce two new Board Directors, and celebrate those Board Directors whose terms have ended.
