In 2018, to recognize changes made in the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations Code of Ethics, DSA Canada’s Codes of Ethics and Business Practices underwent an update. While there have been no changes made that materially impact the businesses of DSA members, the revised Codes include updated text that:
- Reflects the increasingly online nature of the direct selling industry
- Further informs on the privacy related responsibilities of members
- Reinforces the importance of observing requirements relating to earnings claims, consultant fees and inventory loading
